MWOD began with two friends embracing voluntary discomfort as a way of life.
COMMIT to becoming a MWOD. Discover the freedom that comes from not having to choose.
RELEASE the burden of second guessing. Just show up, especially when it gets uncomfortable.
Wholeheartedly EMBRACE the MWOD Methodology. Going all-in is the only measure of success.
As you begin experiencing what's possible and gaining momentum, DEFINE who you will become.
OWN your agency. Match your actions to your defined identity. Repeat CREDO in every area of life.
I'm Dane Sanders. I'm 52 years old, weigh less than I did in high school, and am more fit than I was as a Division I collegiate athlete.
Since founding Men Of Discomfort with my buddy Tim, we went from middle-aged and overweight to less than 13% body fat. Tim became an Ironman.
With the addition of Women Of Discomfort, we combined to create MWOD. Now, everyone gets to play.
"Easy choices, hard life. Hard choices, easy life." - Jerzy Gregorek
"The secret is that voluntary discomfort removes optionality, giving you the freedom you actually crave."
The MWOD sets you up to thrive no matter what circumstances come your way.
Come for the workouts.
Stay for the freedom.
MORE THAN A WORKOUT
. . .
I'm Meghan Locklair.
I'm 33 years old and believe I never need to “retire” from living an athlete's lifestyle - living a lifestyle that prioritizes health and wellness so that I can perform at the highest level in life!
I’ve found the structure, support, and camaraderie of Women Of Discomfort to give me my best shot at living my dream lifestyle.
Most Future MWODs start by wanting to look good and get in shape. It turns out that's the easy part. Changing the rest of life is where it gets interesting.
The secret is that voluntary discomfort removes optionality, giving you the freedom you crave.
I'm Gregory Benedikt.
I’m an old soul trapped in a 27-year-old’s body and I’m obsessed with realizing my full potential while helping others do the same.
I believe that every person has a story worth telling and that seeking voluntary discomfort is the quickest way to unlock your potential.
There are few things more powerful than successfully completing something that you (or others) had previously labeled as impossible, and then coming back to your life and asking "what else can I do?"
The truth is that you are someone who can do hard things and Men and Women of Discomfort is here to prove that.
MWOD leverages fitness and nutrition to interrupt your life.
It's not a program you're adding. It's an operating system you're installing.
You'll learn to run toward the storms of life.
Discomfort will become your teacher and friend.
You'll discover yourself anew.
MWOD will change the way you engage your whole life.
There will be days when you won't feel like doing the work. That's when the daily fight with your mind will begin opening things up.
A wholehearted commitment to fighting the war in the kitchen (food and drink), bedroom (sleep and recovery), and gym (fitness) are required.
